  1. I did not read in the Board Minutes that board action was taken to close the Post office mail box and install a new mailbox. Because funds were used, I would think that official Board Action would be appropriate. Perhaps this was done, but not reported in the minutes? Please clarify. Thanks Dianne Kostur

  2. Per previous conversations in years past, giving up the PO Box at the Tigard Post Office was always considered, but never acted on. It is also reflected in the Minutes of the previous meeting of this current Board. There was never any opposition, and since the renewal of the POBOX was up at the end of March, emailed discussions between Board Members led to unanimous approval. FYI — the ANNUAL rental of the POBox is $185, and that is the smallest mailbox available on site. Also considered was the actual time and gas spent on going to Tigard Post Office by ANY volunteer, which is about 45 minutes roundtrip now, for the 2.2 mile distance from the south entrance of the neighborhood.

Installation of the HOA mailbox on site cost a total of $350:

$50 — for Tigard City permit to assign a physical address to the park cul-de-sac (not reflected in March financial report or register — will be included in April)

$99 — for the actual mailbox, from Amazon at 25% off!

$200 — for lumber and labor (THREE bids were collected).

As the renewal date of POBOX fell between Board Meetings, the information will be reported in April Board Meeting Minutes.

    At your service,

    Dolly Specht, WSEHOA Treasurer
