Our Board member Dolly, wants to know if anyone is interested in the HOA hosting a Block Party for the National Night Out. To gauge interest, please contact Dolly at dollyspecht@aol.com.
Every year, National Night Out (NNO) is celebrated in Tigard and in communities throughout the U.S. on the first Tuesday in August. It’s an opportunity for neighbors to gather, get to know each other and build a sense of community — one where neighbors look out for each other and work together to make their neighborhoods safer.
NNO is also an opportunity for police officers and community members to come together in a low-key, positive environment centered around a BBQ, cookout or block party.
If your neighborhood is putting on an event and you would like the Tigard Police Department to come by to meet you, hand out stickers and build relationships, please email us with “NNO Event Request” in the subject line. Please include the event address, time of the event, and a point of contact.
We will do our best to visit as many NNO parties as possible, depending on our available staffing that day. We look forward to seeing you at National Night Out!
