    1. The three pots were donated in 2018, cleaned & painted to look like new by one of the neighbors, and over the past summer eight families donated flowers, water and fertilizer to keep the plants alive. Each one of those donations came with a story. Let me share a couple with you:
One person had just purchased too many plants for her garden and was tired of planting – thought she would pass on the last 2 plants to the park pots.
Another family was attempting to teach their children to give back to their community by purchasing 2 beautiful impatient plants and place them in the pots at the park. They walked down to see them almost daily.
I would not recommend that we use WSE funds to purchase annual flowers, when the greatest gift comes in giving something of beauty back to our community for others to enjoy.
Our community will tell me when they are done filling the pots and they will no longer be available for others to enjoy.

      1. That’s great on the part of the generous and gracious homeowners, but as a board whose duty it is to maintain the only usable common ground…
